The gap between the expected and actual release fine for disability vehicles

From an expected 10,000 EGP to actual fines reaching 700,000 EGP

“Abu al-Majd said the release fine would not exceed 10,000 pounds … In December 2025, fines ranged between 150,000 and 700,000 pounds. Abu al-Majd said some had reached twice the car’s value.”

The actual fine exceeded initial expectations by a factor of 17 at its minimum, and 70 at its maximum.
